Know Your Psychologist
Hi, I’m Simran Dhankar, a psychologist, a curious collector of thoughts and someone who finds magic in small moments (like perfectly timed songs or sunrays on tiled floors).
After completing my graduation and post-graduation in Psychology, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, I’ve spent the past few years walking alongside teens and adults as they navigate the wonderfully complex maze of being human. Currently, I’m deep in research mode, pursuing my PhD in Applied Psychology, because I believe understanding the mind is a lifelong adventure, not a destination.
My therapy style is gentle, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based care. I work integratively, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and client-centered approaches. Whether you’re feeling stuck in old patterns, burnt out from expectations, or simply seeking a space to breathe and reflect, I’m here to hold space for your process.
I created The Thought Loop as both a quiet corner and a creative one, a space where therapy meets insight, where blog musings, self-reflection, and healing coexist. Think of it as your digital journal nook, sprinkled with compassion and curiosity.
No jargon. No judgment. Just real conversations and meaningful change, one looped thought at a time.
